One of the main reasons for ordering a tailored shirt is to find the perfect fit for you. While a ready-to-wear shirt may fit you well, it's the small, subtle but important details that make the difference. Maybe you need the shirt sleeves longer, the waist slightly narrower or the collar in a different size than the shirt? The tailored shirt (Made to Measure) will be unique, just for you.

The fit is not the only reason to choose a tailored shirt, it's also the opportunity to choose unique details. When you order a Made to Measure shirt, you have the opportunity to decide exactly how you want it to look from the fit and smaller details including color of thread or buttons through to whether you want a patterned, plain or striped shirt? You can also choose the type of cuffs and collar you want to make your shirt more personal.
You decide
The first thing you need to decide is the fabric of your shirt. You will then be helped to choose a fit from our range of Superslim, Slimline, Fitted Body or Comfort models with a guide to help adjusting the measurements so that the shirt fits perfectly. You will then choose a collar from our wide range of models, the shape of the cuffs and then the buttons you desire.
You can choose a contrasting fabric on the inside of the collar and cuffs and details such as colored buttons and buttonholes to make the shirt more personalized. If you want the shirt to be extra special, you can choose an embroidered monogram with your initials. At Stenströms we have many fabrics to choose from, with new designs added every season. If you want the best of the best, then choose one of our Sea Island fabrics that feel just like wearing silk. The possibilities are endless!
