Stenströms Knitwear & Sweatshirts

Discover our classic, high-quality men’s knitwear in a range of different styles. We have everything from plain merino wool jumpers to soft and luxurious cashmere jumpers, or try a classic knitted jumper with or without a collar to add a touch of comfort and elegance to every occasion. Knitted jumpers can be worn in the office over a t-shirt or shirt, or try layering our jumpers in merino or cashmere wool with a vest in colder weather.

What to wear with a sweatshirt?

Our men’s sweatshirts and hoodies in the finest cotton and Italian fleece are great for casual wear – perfect for exercising or lounging on the sofa. Combine them with a pair of our sleek sweatpants for a stylish, high-quality tracksuit.

Knitwear for every season

Our range includes luxury men's jumpers and jersey jumpers in premium materials. Go for slightly darker colours for the winter season and lighter and bolder colours for spring and summer. Choose between classic V-neck and crew neck jumpers, sporty half-zips with a collar and a short zip at the neck, elegant cardigans, sweatshirts and hoodies.

Which material is best for jumpers?

A warm men's jumper made from natural materials will last for years, feel luxurious and be comfortable to wear. Our knitwear is available in the finest cotton, cashmere, cotton fleece and merino wool. We choose our materials carefully and always put quality first.

What to wear with a knitted jumper for everyday?

In its simplest form, a knitted jumper is informal but smart. Try pairing one with a casual shirt and jeans or chinos. Match the shirt with the jumper or wear a patterned shirt with a jumper that coordinates with one of the shirt’s colours. At times of the year when temperatures fluctuate, a vest is a great addition to a knitted jumper for an extra layer of warmth.

How to wash wool jumpers

Wash in cool water, either by hand or using the wool cycle of your washing machine, and use a detergent made for delicate fabrics or especially made for washing wool, cashmere or merino wool. Lay the jumper flat on a towel to dry. Before washing knitwear try airing it first because generally speaking high-quality wool should be washed as rarely as possible.

Which jumper should I wear for which occasion?

Paired with the right clothes, a fine-knit men's V-neck or crew neck jumper can look more formal. These classic necklines can be worn with shirts and suits in cold weather. A cable knit jumper or a men's jumper with a collar and a zip at the neck is more casual and is best suited to leisure activities in the countryside, preferably accompanied by a warm and stylish vest on chilly days.

What size men's jumper should I choose?

Choose your usual size for fine-knit jumpers – they should be worn fairly close to the body. Cable knit or chunky knit jumpers can be worn slightly baggier. The right size should feel relaxed but look neat.

How should you wear a knitted jumper?

For informal events, you can wear a knitted jumper on its own over a t-shirt or shirt with chinos or jeans. If you want your jumper to feel more formal, say for office wear, you can dress it up with a shirt and add a tie or bow tie. A suit or a jacket with chinos look great with a knitted jumper. Remember that a men's jumper with a zip fastening gives a more casual impression, while crew necks and V-necks are classics that work for almost all occasions.

Cardigan or jumper?

Both are equally warm, but suitable for different occasions. A men's cardigan made from a quality fabric can serve as a stylish alternative to a jacket in the colder months – provided the occasion is casual enough. A jumper with a collar, or a slightly lighter jumper in merino wool or cashmere makes a great extra layer over a shirt and under a jacket.
